Socks on Two Circulars
Description: You will learn to knit one sock at a time on two circulars instead of double point needles. Those of you who have not wanted to tackle double points, this is the class for you.
Skills: Knit, purl, increase, decrease, cast on, bind off.
Supplies: Sock yarn of your choice to be purchased at Yarns Downtown. Pattern will be provided by instructor. Two - 24" circular needles (whatever size you need to obtain a gauge of 6 - 7 sts. per inch). Please be advised that it is up to you to determine what needle size you need because needles are not returnable! You can discuss your tension w/the instructor prior to class to determine what needle size would be recommended for you.

Mrs. Beasley's Market Bag - sample bag at the Shop
Description: A perfect bag for the person who frequents the farmer's market, craft shows or, of course, the grocery store. This would be a great gift or you may love it enough to keep for yourself. The yarns used are washable. The pattern is designed to make a longer version bag well suited for those who buy French baguettes - they won't fall out. *HOMEWORK IS REQUIRED FOR THIS CLASS. You will need to CO 26 stitches of the variegated yarn and knit garter stitch for 42 rows, BO loosely but DO NOT CUT THE YARN.
Skills: Cast on, bind off, knit, purl, picking up stitches, yarn over, knit 2 together and cable cast on (if you don't know how to pick up stitches or do a cable cast on, the instructor will show you how in class).
Supplies: 2 skeins Berroco Calico (or other variegated yarn) 90 yards per skein; 1 hank Berroco Weekend (solid cotton blend yarn) 205 yards per hank - to be purchased at Yarns Downtown; Size 10.5 straight or circular needles; Size 15 circular needles

Learn to Make a Hat - samples at the Shop
Description: You can pick to make either the Baby/Toddler Hat or the Ribbed Toboggan Hat for adults or teens.

1 skein Muench Big Baby yarn (2 skeins for older children) to be purchased at Yarns Downtown; Size 13 - 16" circular needles or set of DPN #13; and tapestry needle. Pattern provided by instructor.

Santa Fe Vest - sample at Shop
Description: This simple to knit vest is made of three stockinette panels. The squared neck makes for an interesting style that is beautiful on all body types. The variegated yarn enhances the directional differences in the panel construction. This is an "EASY" pattern and you will get LOTS of compliments when wearing it.

Newborn Raglan Jacket - sample in Shop
Description: Makes a great baby gift. The bright and vibrant colors make this so adorable. The yarn used is self-striping and does all the work. This is top down with no seaming!
Skills: Cast on, bind off, knit, purl, knit 2 together, purl 2 together, picking up stitches, make one right and make one left. The make one stitches will be explained by your instructor.

All classes require a 50% deposit made payable to the instructor which is non-refundable and should be dropped off to Yarns Downtown soon after scheduling your class w/the instructor and before the class is attended. You can reschedule your class with your instructor should the need arise. You will be required to pay for the other half of the class at the first session.
